Shared Editing Handles Short Breaks More Gracefully

Active editors can step away briefly, show as paused, and resume more reliably when they return.

What's new

  • During shared page and blog editing, short tab or app switches now keep the draft reserved for the active editor instead of dropping control right away.
  • If the active editor stays away longer during live collaboration, the panel now shows Paused so teammates can tell the draft is temporarily away instead of abandoned.
  • Returning editors can resume their draft more reliably after those short breaks.

Why it matters

You can step away for a quick context switch without derailing a handoff, and teammates get a clearer signal about whether the draft is still actively owned.
