Cookies & Consent
Configure the cookie banner, preference dialog, and tracking consent behavior for a website.
Cookies & Consent controls the banner and preferences dialog shown on your published website when consent management is enabled.
Choose a mode
Open Cookies & Consent
Select the mode
Choose None, Managed, or Strict EU.
Review connected tracking
Check the detected tools list so the live preferences dialog describes the analytics and marketing tools your site uses.
Save cookies
Select Save Cookies to apply the setting to the published site.
Mode options
- None: the cookie banner is off. Connected analytics, tag managers, pixels, and custom code continue using their normal live-page behavior.
- Managed: Hiveality shows consent where regional rules require it and stores visitor choices for review.
- Strict EU: every visitor sees an opt-in banner before non-essential tracking and script-based custom code can run.
Policy links and banner copy
Add the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy pages you want shown from the live banner and preferences dialog. Use the link picker to choose a site page, file, or external URL.
You can also edit the banner title, description, and button labels for accept, reject, customize, and save actions.
Preference categories
The preferences dialog includes three categories:
- Necessary: always enabled because it is required for the website to work.
- Analytics: used for measurement tools such as Google Analytics.
- Marketing: used for advertising, retargeting, pixels, and promotional scripts.
You can rename category labels, edit descriptions, and turn optional categories on or off before saving.
Script mapping
When consent is active, Hiveality maps connected tools into consent categories:
- Google Analytics and built-in analytics use Analytics.
- Meta Pixel and script-based custom code use Marketing.
- Google Tag Manager can be mapped to Analytics / Measurement or Marketing, depending on what the container runs.
If your Google Tag Manager container includes ads, remarketing, pixels, or other promotional tags, map it to Marketing. Use Analytics / Measurement only when the container is measurement-only.
