Store Settings

Connect Stripe, choose currencies, set tax handling, configure shipping, and manage order notifications.

What this controls

Store Settings manage payments, currency display, tax behavior, shipping rates, paid-order notifications, checkout testing, and your public storefront mode. For product metadata and discovery best practices, see Store Products SEO.

Configure your store

1

Open Store Settings

2

Connect Stripe

Click Connect Stripe Account to enable payments.

3

Use the settings tabs

Move between Storefront, Checkout, Shipping, Emails, Invoice , and Badges to focus the dialog.

4

Set currencies

Choose a Primary Currency and optional secondary/third currencies.

5

Choose a tax mode

Select how taxes are handled at checkout.

6

Set shipping rate mode

Choose No shipping charge, Free shipping, Flat rate, or Shipping rules. Shipping is only collected when the cart includes products that require shipping.

7

Set order notifications

Choose whether paid orders send a branded internal email and set the default notification email.

8

Optional: enable storefront mode

Turn on Public Storefront to publish the built-in /store product list + cart + checkout flow.

Tax modes

  • None: no tax is applied.
  • Exclusive: tax is added at checkout.
  • Inclusive: prices include tax.
  • Stripe Tax: calculated automatically during checkout.

Shipping rate modes

  • No shipping charge: shipping line stays at 0.
  • Free shipping: shipping line shows as free for physical-product orders.
  • Flat rate: one flat shipping amount is added for physical-product orders.
  • Shipping rules: restrict allowed destinations and set manual rates by country and province/state code.

Digital products, memberships, services, and access purchases do not create a shipping requirement by themselves.

Store notifications

Use Store Notifications when your team wants an internal email after a paid order or paid subscription checkout.

  • Turn notifications on or off for the store.
  • Set a Default Store Notification Email.
  • Leave the email blank to use the website system/support email from Email Settings.
  • Individual Checkout widgets can use the store default, send to a custom email, or disable notifications for that checkout.

Storefront and trust badges

  • Use the Storefront tab for the public store banner, storefront copy, action colors, and storefront mode.
  • Use the Badges tab to edit buyer-confidence badges shown near product details.
  • Turn on the checkout badge toggle when those same trust badges should also appear during checkout.

Shipping rules

Use Shipping rules when rates or availability depend on where the customer is located.

  • Add allowed country codes such as CA or US.
  • Set a blocked checkout message for destinations you do not ship to.
  • Add exact country and region rows, or use * for all other regions in that country.
  • Choose free or flat-rate shipping per rule.
  • Use the example preset as a starting point, then adjust amounts and regions.

Invoice details for receipts

You can set optional invoice fields that appear on payment receipts and invoice-style store emails.

  • Tax ID Label and Tax ID Value (example: GST/HST Number + your value)
  • Registration Label and Registration Value (example: Business Number + your value)

Business name, address, and contact email used on receipts come from Email Settings.

Checkout test orders

Use this when you want to test the live checkout flow without charging a card.

  • Run Run test store checkout to open the live store checkout in no-card test mode.
  • Test orders are clearly marked as test orders.
  • The flow still runs normal post-purchase steps, including receipts, internal notifications, thank-you messaging, and configured redirects.

Checkout widgets also include open and copy actions for a widget-specific test checkout link.

Stripe sandbox testing (optional)

Use this only when you specifically need Stripe test-card validation.

  • Connect Test Stripe in the Stripe Sandbox Testing section.
  • Run Run Stripe sandbox checkout to open a temporary test checkout preview.
  • Test preview payments stay in Stripe test mode and do not create real orders, subscriptions, or projects.

For most production checks, use a small live purchase on your live Stripe connection.

Live storefront refresh

Changes to Store Settings now trigger a storefront widget refresh automatically. This helps product cards reflect updated default currency and related storefront settings sooner on live pages.
