SEO Automation and Bulk Actions
Use SEO suggestion workflows, broken-link review, locks, and bulk apply patterns safely.
Automation strategy
Use automation to accelerate metadata generation, but preserve manual control where needed.
Recommended pattern:
- Generate suggestions.
- Apply in batches for low-risk pages.
- Lock critical fields you hand-tune.
- Re-run suggestions after major content updates.
SEO Dashboard workflow
Open Website Settings → SEO → Open SEO Dashboard when you want to work across many entries at once.
- Improve My SEO applies eligible metadata fixes and refreshes the dashboard queues.
- Review Suggested Fixes groups issues such as missing titles, missing descriptions, broken links, heading structure, duplicate titles, stale pages, and missing alt text.
- Use the issue filter to narrow by page name, slug, or URL.
- Use Apply Fix on one entry or Apply All Safe Fixes when the current issue view has multiple eligible metadata fixes.
- In broken-link review, use Change Link, Remove Link, Mark Working, or Publish Fix when the row supports a guided action.
- Use Create Redirect from a broken-link row when the best fix is forwarding an old internal path to the right destination.
- In heading review, use Apply Heading Fix when a safe heading level change is available, then review and publish the affected draft.
- Use Export CSV when you want to review the current issue list outside the dashboard.
- Broken links, content structure, stale content, and image context should be reviewed before making broad changes. Link rows include the affected source and best available target context so you can decide whether to edit, replace, or leave a link alone.
Accessibility health workflow
Open Website Settings -> Accessibility when you want to review site-wide accessibility signals without blocking publishing.
- Accessibility Health shows an overall grade, score, and grouped task status.
- Review Accessibility Issues lists what can be fixed automatically and what needs content review.
- Apply Safe Fixes can generate or sync missing image alt text for known image files in small batches.
- SVG files, failed image conversions, unclear image context, heading choices, and link decisions stay queued for manual review.
Bulk apply checklist
- Group pages/posts by type before applying.
- Confirm canonical and robots defaults before large updates.
- Keep a short review pass for high-value pages.
- Avoid overwriting locked/manual fields unintentionally.
- Reopen Page Health or Blog Health on priority entries after bulk work to confirm the score and focus areas changed as expected.
- Use score refresh for a quick recheck before running another bulk apply pass.
Troubleshooting
- If fields keep changing unexpectedly, check lock/manual settings first.
- If quality is inconsistent, tighten source content and rerun suggestions.
- If discovery settings are wrong, review sitemap and LLMS flags after apply.
- Keep this workflow paired with Page SEO Health, Blog SEO, and LLMS Eligibility.
